Prayer

It has been a very interesting past few weeks as I have learned many things. I had an institute teacher tell me to read a paragraph from the entry about Prayer in the Bible Dictionary before going to bed that night. I did it and the last sentence was something that I really needed to hear. It was an answer and then as I searched for a few other scriptures I came across D&C 84:83-84. This scripture has helped me to realize how much the Lord really is in charge and when I allow Him to do His work, all things will work out for my good. He knows what I need and will give me those things when they will be the best for me to have. The last scripture was one that was shared on Sunday and it made me realize that sometimes the answers to our prayers are just a feeling of peace until Heavenly Father can grant us the blessing He desires to give to us. I am so grateful for the blessings I have been given, especially those that I have only recently realized to be blessings.

I found this quote reading "Divine Signatures" by Gerald Lund. I found it exactly when I needed it the most.

This quote helps me put everything into the proper perspective. Although things didn't turn out like I thought they would, this quote reminds me that Heavenly Father is looking out for me and that he truly does care about me and what is going on in my life.
